Veterans Day
Bringing us together
Veterans Day is intended for everyone, not only for veterans. Through this project, the veteran community extends a literal hand to society. By using an accessible and welcoming approach, the project raises awareness of Veterans Day in public spaces and fosters engagement with the broader public.
White Carnation Vases
A small gesture, a shared story.
On Veterans Day, special vases filled with White Carnations appear on lampposts or bridges in public spaces. Passers-by are invited to take a flower as a simple gesture of solidarity. The sign reads:
“Today is Veterans Day & celebrate unity together. Take a White Carnation, for yourself or a loved one.”
The veteran community reaches out to society as a small act, creating a lasting moment to reflect and share.
